Oh what a crazy time these past two months have been! With the beaches partially open, let’s take the opportunity to start the hunt back again.

Life has been overwhelming during this pandemic. Many have lost their jobs, struggling to find necessities, or unable to hug loved ones. But during this heartbreaking time, we also see communities coming together, finding heroes in unexpected places, and appreciating things in life we took for granted.

Thank you to everyone to those serving our community, who’ve served in our armed forces past and present, to our scientists, and to our healthcare workers. We really appreciate all the hard work and bravery.

To put some normalcy back into our lives for just a moment, let’s head back to Jacksonville Beach this morning. Specifically, behind the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Jax Beach (15th/16th Ave North).

I know parking is limited now at the beach, but there is parking in this area next to Fairfield Inn on 15th Ave North.

There are two cases to be found at this location along with various other items.

I usually prepare cases few months in advance. Before Covid-19 changed our world, I had created an Easter themed case for March. Those items for that case are as follows:

Inside the case is a 1964 quarter, then two wheat pennies, 2 silver dimes, and various other items.

In this same area, there is a second case:

Token from 1863, silver 1956 dime, war nickel, and two Wheaties

This hunt just as the others will require a detector. Make sure you fill any holes you dig and many thanks for picking up any trash you find along the way as well. Take a photo of where you find the container and text it to the number found on this site.

Remember all hunts are open to the public.

Good luck and happy hunting!
